Jordan Ayew, the Black Stars captain, says the team’s path to the 2026 FIFA World Cup will undoubtedly be difficult.
This statement was delivered by Ayew during his address at a farewell party for the Black Stars before they relocate to Rhode Island, where they will spend the duration of their World Cup campaign.
In its fifth World Cup outing, Ghana will face Panama on June 17, England on June 23, and Croatia on June 27.
Ayew, though, thinks that the Black Stars, who have failed to advance past the group stage in three consecutive World Cups, can turn things around this year.
We want to make Ghana proud, and we want to make you people proud because we have three huge games coming up.
“Clearly, it won’t be simple, but with your prayers and help, we will hopefully succeed. “We are here to make history, therefore keep us in your prayers,” Ayew stated.
