Two persons, including the presumed leader of the gang behind a robbery attack on a bus that conveyed players of Berekum Chelsea and in which a player was killed, have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
In an update by the Police in relation to Sunday’s gruesome attack, it said an exchange of gun fire occurred between police intelligence officers and some armed suspects, in the course of which one of the suspects sustained some gunshots and was sent to a hospital for medical care.

Six heavily armed men ambushed the club’s team bus in the Nyanihin District, on the Ahyiresu–Kwame Dwumor Sreso (KDS) route on Sunday April 12. It said in their attack on the bus in which some pump-action guns were used, they fired and it skidded off the road into the bush where one of their shots killed the footballer, Dominic Frimpong.
Police said the other accomplices in the heinous robbery attack on the bus are still on the run as they continue the investigation and assured the populace that all will be brought to book.
