Two brothers have been taken into custody by the Accra Regional Police Command in connection with the murder of a 54-year-old guy and the assault on his wife at Beach Drive Estate, Tuba, near Weija.
Adams Adder Almeida and his brother, Bala Bilyon, were detained with the help of the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) after the incident on August 6, 2026.
Outside their four-bedroom apartment, 54-year-old Mohammed Rahman and his wife, 53-year-old Christiana Fosu, were discovered with gunshot wounds.
They were brought to Finney Hospital in Weija, where Mohammed Rahman was certified deceased when he got there. Presently, his wife is responding well to treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she was admitted for additional care.
Since then, the corpse has been sent to the Police Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy.
The police said that Adams Adder Almeida admitted shooting the pair during interrogation. He informed investigators that his motivation was his conviction that Rahman had repeatedly called him “lazy and useless,” which he said had mentally impacted him.
Later, the suspect guided investigators to his brother’s Beach Drive Estate flat, where a pistol that was thought to have been used in the shooting was found beneath the well drop.

According to police investigations, Adams Adder Almeida and his brother, Bala Bilyon, who lived with the deceased, share a room at Tuba.
According to Adams’ statement to investigators, a friend named Gideon had allegedly given him the firearm. He then took police to Gideon’s home in Tuba, but the suspect could not be found.
Bala Bilyon is still in custody and aiding in the investigation into the shooting’s circumstances, while police said that efforts to find Gideon are continuing.
