One person has died, while several others are in critical condition following a head-on collision between two commercial vehicles at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

The accident involved a Ford with registration number AW 3264-21 and a Toyota Hiace with registration number AS 3552-20. According to eyewitnesses, the Toyota Hiace, which was travelling towards Kumasi, lost control at high speed and collided with the Ford, which was heading from Kumasi towards Ejisu.
The impact left occupants of both vehicles with severe injuries. Among the victims were two senior high school students who were en route to school.

All injured passengers were rushed to Living Waters Hospital, where one person was pronounced dead on arrival.
“Many of the passengers were injured, some with broken hands and legs. All the seats in the car were damaged,” an eyewitness, Michael Asante, said.
