Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu has been chosen by President John Dramani Mahama to serve as Ghana’s High Commissioner-designate to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Baba Sadiq’s appointment comes after Baba Jamal’s recall, as he chose to run in the Ayawaso East by-election following the passing of Nasser Mahama Toure, the member of parliament.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the appointment in a tweet on Sunday, March 1.
The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central in the 2024 general election, Baba Sadiq, is anticipated to represent Ghana’s interests in Nigeria and strive to foster closer economic and diplomatic relations between the two nations.
