Member of Parliament for the Kumawu Constituency, Ernest Yaw Anim, has commended the Bodomase Women’s Fellowship Network (BWFN) and its partners for organising a three-day training programme aimed at empowering women through soap-making enterprises.
The programme, dubbed “From Pot to Profit,” was designed to equip participating women with practical soap-making skills and the knowledge needed to establish and manage small-scale businesses.
Speaking at the programme last week, Ernest Yaw Anim applauded the organisers for the initiative, describing it as an important step towards equipping women with practical skills that can translate into sustainable sources of income.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to take full advantage of the skills and knowledge acquired during the training and apply them to create viable businesses.
According to the MP, the beneficiaries can use the skills gained to build sustainable livelihoods, create employment opportunities and improve the economic well-being of their families.
He further noted that initiatives of this nature have the potential to contribute significantly to the development of the Kumawu Constituency and, ultimately, the economic development of the country.
The programme forms part of efforts by community-based organisations and their partners to equip women with entrepreneurial and vocational skills that can help reduce economic dependency and promote self-reliance.
Ernest Yaw Anim urged the participating women to remain committed to putting their newly acquired skills into practice and encouraged them to see soap-making not merely as a skill, but as an opportunity to build sustainable enterprises.
He also expressed appreciation to the Bodomase Women’s Fellowship Network and its partners for investing in the empowerment of women in the Kumawu Constituency.
The “From Pot to Profit” initiative highlights the growing importance of practical skills training as a means of creating opportunities for women, strengthening families and supporting local economic development.
