Debibi United Football Club has officially earned the right to participate in the 2026–2027 Ghana Premier League season after being promoted from the Access Bank Division One through a playoff victory over Tamale City FC.

On the strength of Kwadwo Antwi’s hat-trick of goals in the first half, scored in the 33rd, 38th, and 43rd minutes, respectively, Debibi United defeated Tamale City 3-1.

The major battle at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, May 13, was set up by both teams finishing first in their respective divisions in Zone One of the minor league.
Debibi United secured a place for the set of promoted teams from Division One to play in the Ghana Premier League next season by defeating Tamale City.

FC AshantiGold 04 of Zone Two gained entry into the elite division, while Port City FC of Kukurantumi earned a spot from Zone Three.
Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders have been relegated from the Ghana Premier League with only two games remaining.
