The appointment letter signed and released by Registrar, Benjamin B. Owusu, May 13, 2026 followed a special 292nd meeting held by KNUST’s University Council on Wednesday. According to the notice of appointment, after receiving and discussing the report of the Search Committee for Vice-Chancellor, the University Council discussed and approved the appointment of Professor Agyare.
Professor Agyare is currently the Provost of the College of Health Sciences of KNUST and professor in pharmaceutics. He will serve as VC from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2030.
